Paxen Care, LLC was born from a deep belief in purpose, perseverance, and the possibility of a better tomorrow. We exist to build more than just a roof over a child’s head, we build a refuge, a rhythm, and a roadmap. At Paxen Care, boys ages 12–20 find a structured, supportive space where they can heal from trauma, rediscover their self-worth, and grow into capable, confident young men.

The vision behind Paxen Care began with our founder, Martin Zonyrah,a data scientist by profession, a mentor by calling, and a lifelong advocate for youth empowerment. Raised in Tema, Ghana, Martin knows what it means to rise from modest beginnings and create something enduring. In 2013, he launched Gifted Minds Africa, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to inspire youth through education, core values, and purpose-driven leadership. Through local school engagements and small-scale sponsorships, Martin has used this platform to encourage students, support families, and plant seeds of hope across communities.

Martin continued this work through the YMCA’s Reach & Rise program, where he mentored youth ages 6–17 facing the realities of poverty, crime, and single-parent households. Through weekly one-on-one sessions, mentors model healthy relationships and equip children with tools to strengthen family bonds, boost self-esteem, improve school performance, and make empowered decisions.

Most recently, Martin served on contract with Interpol, where he contributed to NECMEC, a global initiative leveraging data and intelligence to combat child trafficking and exploitation. That experience further shaped his commitment to building something local, structured, and restorative.

Paxen is his response: a home that says you matter, even when the world has said otherwise.

​

We believe transformation happens when structure meets heart. That’s why our program is built on therapeutic care, STEM-based learning, life and job skills training, and one full year of aftercare support. Whether our youth are stepping down from high levels of care or simply in need of a fresh start, they find more than services here, they find people who believe in them, a future they can step into, and a place they can call home.
